چکیده

Background/Aim: E-Cadherin has been implicated in cell-cell adhesion, and soluble E-cadherin is involved angiogenesis resistance to anti-angiogenic therapy several cancer types. This study aimed investigate the expression clinical significance of other angiogenesis-related factors plasma malignant ascites colorectal (CRC) patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC). Materials Methods: Multiplex enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was performed on 95 body fluid samples (57 38 ascites) from CRC. The status angiopoietin-2 (AGNPT2) retrospectively evaluated by immunohistochemistry primary CRC paired metastatic tissues or cell blocks 30 metastases Results: levels ANGPT2 were significantly increased PC compared those without. concentration lower higher than samples. Expression strongly positive, whilst that negative tissues, immunohistochemistry. High negatively associated overall survival ascites. Conclusion: Our findings suggest may be surrogate biomarkers for outcome

Plasma Level of miRNA-7, miRNA-409 and miRNA-93 as Potential Biomarkers for Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is among deadliest cancers all over the world. Regarding its high mortality, some researches have focused to discover new applicable diagnosis methods. In this regard, circulatory miRNAs has been received huge consideration as promising biomarkers for early detection of CRC. The study aimed to evaluate the expression level of miRNA-7, miRNA-93, and miRNA-409 in plasma of...

A review on miRNAs as new biomarkers for colorectal cancer

Background & Objective: Since colorectal cancer does not often have phenotypic symptoms in the early stages, the study of biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of the tumor is very important. MicroRNAs are one of the most important biomarkers which attract the attention of many researchers due to a variety of reasons, including their non-invasive nature; these molecules are a group of non-...

E-cadherin: A potential biomarker of colorectal cancer prognosis

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common and lethal disease. It is the third most common type of cancer in the world, behind lung and breast cancer, with almost 1.4 million new cases diagnosed in 2012. The risk of developing CRC is influenced by environmental and genetic factors. Adenocarcinomas comprise the vast majority (98%) of CRCs. A patient's likelihood of survival is associated with the tumor...

MCT4 as a potential therapeutic target for metastatic gastric cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis

Monocarboxylate transporters (MCTs) play a major role in up-regulation of glycolysis and adaptation to acidosis. However, the role of MCTs in gastric cancer (GC) is not fully understood. We investigated the potential utilization of a new cancer therapy for GC. We characterized the expression patterns of the MCT isoforms 1, 2, and 4 and investigated the role of MCT in GC through in vitro and in ...
